Lions Clubs are part of community life in the cities and in the country.  Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Associtation, and the "We Serve" motto.

Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.

Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.

The Lions Club of Casterton was formed on October 17th., 1968 with thirty three Charter members.  We are privileged to have three of those Charter members still actively serving to this day  Lions Jim Guthrie, Roly Cooper and Reg Speed have given a collective 135 years of service, so far, to the Casterton Community.

The inaugural office bearers were -

President, Laurie Burns

Secretary, Brian Withers

Treasurer, Don Bowley.

A number of Casterton Lions have, over the years, served at Zone, Region and District levels, with Rob Astbury and Keith Staats serving as Deputy District Governor.

Since 1989 Casteron Lions families have hosted forty one International Exchange students from West Germany, Japan, Canada, Finland, South Africa, Italy, USA and Malaysia.
